First Presbyterian Church is pleased to offer its members and friends a variety of reguarly scheduled worship services.

Our Sunday service is held in the sanctuary and follows the order in the Presbyterian Book of Common Worship.  Music for the Sunday service is provided by our Chancel, Bell and Children's choirs, as well as a variety of musical guests.

The Wednesday evening service finds us in the upstairs chapel for a come as you are prayer meeting where, on a rotating basis, we follow the denomination's liturgies for Evening Prayer, the Lord's Supper, a Service for Wholeness, and Prayer at the Close of the Day.  During each service after the scripture reading, the Pastor and those worshipping reflect on the readings.  On Wednesday nights, every enjoys singing gospel hymns and praise music led by volunteer musicians from the congregation.

On Saturday evenings, we gather in the chapel for an informal come as you are service with music provided by the "1st Prez Praize Band", our own praise band. Music ranges from the older gospel hymns to the more modern Christian music heard today.

We typically celebrate the Lord's Supper monthly on the first Sunday of month and the Saturday preceeding the first Sunday as well as other services throughout the year. Communion at First Prez is open to everyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are invited share communion with us.

Several times throughout the year members of First Prez make three committments to the life of the church. The first committment is around Valentines Day when we commit our hearts. The second committment happens at the time of Pentecost when we commit our hands in doing the work of the church. And our third committment is just after All-Saints day when we make our financial committment.

There are various worship services throughout the the year that are youth-led. The youth-led services begin each year on Souper Bowl Sunday.
