Transitional Pastor:  Rev. Bill Owens
Baptized as an infant at First Prez (albeit Gastonia, NC), Bill began serving as the Transitional (or Interim) Pastor at First Prez April, 2018. His initial training and experience in intentional interim ministry happened in 2000, and he has served two churches in that capacity before coming to First Prez. Additionally, Bill has served as a hospice chaplain for more than six years, and continues on a part-time basis with Adaptive Hospice here in Jeffersonville. Bill is married with two adult children and a grand-daughter. Bill and wife Katie are the proud parents of three fur-babies; King Charles Cavaliers Peanut and Punkin, and petite Main Coon Sampson.

Organist:  Judy Diekhoff
Judy is a native of Iowa and graduated from Wartburg College with a Bachelor degree in Music Education. She began as an organist at First Prez in 2006 following musical experience in numerous churches. Her background includes church and school secretary, public and prive teacher, as well as accompanist duties.

Choir Director:  Steve Inman
Steve has been a member of the 1st Prez congregation since he was a child, and he first joined our staff as a part-time Lay Assocoaite Pastor. Previoulsy Steve led the 1st Prez Praize Band for twelve years providing musical leadership for the Saturday evening praise service.

Bell Choir Director:  Trish Read
Trish began directing our Handbell Choir in 2000, and it is a joy to see the program continuing to grow and develop under her leadership. Trish earned a degree in Music Education from Indiana State University located in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Saturday Music Leader:  David Borman

“A young, accomplished musician," David Borman understands that music has the true power to  educate,  inspire, and change people. With a lifelong goal of performing and conducting musical works that leaves a lasting impression he is studying music at the University of Louisville. Among his  accomplishments, David served as the principal and soloist Euphonium for the Indiana Music Educators All-State Honor Band in January 2014 and he made his Carnegie Hall debut in April 2015. Also David enjoys teaching brass, voice, and piano at Maxwell’s House of Music in Jeffersonville, IN. In addition to being a skilled instrumentalist and vocalist, he is an active freelance conductor in the Southern Indiana and Louisville area. Currently, he serves as the general music director and principal conductor for the Cardinals for the Appreciation of Music Theatre and assistant conductor for the Louisville Civic Orchestra. David is currently studying Euphonium with Clinton McCanless and conducting with Kimcherie Lloyd.
